All our pork comes from Robert Lasseter, who keeps 400 outdoor sows above the picturesque village of Compton Valence in Dorset and is Freedom Foods registered. 

The sows have their piglets in paddocks with the benefit of warm arcs, fresh air and exercise. Living in their family groups, the piglets grow well, before weaning and transfer to straw yards at his home farm at Friar Waddon, Corton. Robert's herd is 'closed' , which means that no live animals are brought onto the farm, in order to keep it disease free.

As with our beef and lamb, we use the local abattoir and, when the pigs come back to Buckland Newton, we mature the meat properly in our own cutting room, at a constant temperature,.

Some of our most popular products are our sausages, bacon and gammon. Martin Hyde makes all the sausages from Robert's pork and dry-cures the bacon and gammon. As with the beef and lamb, customers remark on how good the pork and gammon tastes, on the quality of the bacon, and the way it cooks.

We make PORK and Apple burgers using our own fresh minced pork, salt and pepper and fresh apple.

We have recently introduced a range of sausages made just with pork and seasoning. Try our new Pork & Bacon and Pork & Herb. They are also Gluten-Free,
